| ACORD Recognizes Accident Fund for Insurance Technology Excellence |
| |
June 2007 -- Accident Fund Insurance Company of America was
recognized by ACORD with the 2007 “Greatest Impact Award,
New Implementer Jumpstart.”
The Greatest Impact Awards recognize companies that excel in
the technology used to communicate with independent
insurance agents. Accident Fund submitted its Real-Time
Declaration Page Inquiry and Policy Download implementations
for consideration.
Accident Fund received the award during the 2007 ACORD LOMA
Insurance Systems Forum held May 20-22, 2007 in Orlando.
“Receiving this award from ACORD demonstrates Accident
Fund’s commitment to moving forward with technology,” said
Teresa Lambie, Web Services Manager for Accident Fund.
“These kinds of improvements not only make it easy for
agents to do business with us, they also make it more
efficient for our team by reducing calls and service
requests.”
Real-Time Declarations Inquiry for agents means agents can
easily access Declaration Pages. The information is updated
daily so current data is always available. Policy Download
allows agents to automatically update policy details to
their agency management system without needing to enter
information manually.
“Accident Fund is setting an example for the rest of the
industry that we hope inspires others to join ACORD and
begin their work with data standards,” said Denise Garth,
ACORD’s vice president of Membership & Standards.
ACORD (Association for Cooperative Operations Research
and Development) is a nonprofit insurance association that
facilitates the development and use of standards for

Headquartered in Lansing, Michigan, Accident Fund Insurance
