Accident Fund Welcomes Two New Directors

June 2007 (LANSING, MICH.) — Accident Fund Insurance Company of America is pleased to announce that Sherry Doody and Lisa Riddle have joined the company. Doody has been named Director of Employee Services, and Riddle joins the company as Director of Claims.

Doody is responsible for the administration, coordination and evaluation of Accident Fund’s human resources function, including compensation, payroll and benefits, and Workforce Readiness—a subsidiary professional development unit.

With 19 years of experience, Doody joins Accident Fund from Republic Bank, where she served most recently as a senior vice president and developed, implemented and managed all benefit and compensation programs. Her background also includes positions at Ingham Regional Medical Center and Dart National Bank. Doody graduated from Michigan State University and is a member of the Human Resource Management Association of Mid-Michigan (HRMAMM) and the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).

Riddle is responsible for directing claims operational strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of corporate goals. She oversees the development and implementation of claims standards and is accountable for business results through cost-effective and timely resolutions. Accident Fund’s regional claims managers report directly to Riddle.

Riddle brings a wealth of experience in insurance claims operations, especially in workers compensation. She worked for more than 30 years at Travelers Insurance Company, most recently as workers compensation manager of the workers compensation operations for Michigan and Ohio. Riddle graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

The company also provides third party administration services and disability management. Founded in 1912, Accident Fund is rated “A” (Excellent) by A.M. Best and is a member of Ward’s 50 top property/casualty carriers. Accident Fund is the parent of Wisconsin-based United Heartland, which also writes workers compensation insurance.
