June 2007 (LANSING, MICH.) – Rockford Construction Company
has been named Accident Fund Insurance Company of America’s
“Policyholder of the Year.”
Safety Director Paul Rozich accepted the award on behalf of
Rockford in front of 650 cheering Accident Fund employees
during a company meeting. Joining him from Rockford
Development were COO Kurt Hassberger, Kris Ferguson and
Bonnie Zerrenner.
“Rockford Construction is honored to be recognized by
Accident Fund as Policyholder of the Year. We believe that
having a strong safety and risk management program is good
business,” said Rozich. “To be recognized for this award is
a direct reflection of each employee’s commitment to safety
on our jobsites.”
The award was presented by Senior Loss Prevention Consultant
Kevin Quigley, who works closely with Rockford on safety
programs and consultation.
“The management team at Rockford Construction is committed
to project quality and safety,” said Quigley. “Let me give
you an amazing example: They completed a $30 million
multi-phase project for Davenport University with no
lost-time accidents, and are just weeks away from doing the
same with the $59 million Grand Rapids Art Museum project.
That commitment to excellence is why Rockford is one of
Michigan’s premier construction management companies.”
Also on hand were Rod VanTol and Sue Davis, representing
Rockford’s insurance agency VML Insurance.
Rockford Construction is Accident Fund’s second policyholder
