Accident Fund names Ted A. Smith
III

February 19, 2008 (LANSING, MICH.)—Accident Fund Insurance
Company of America announces that Ted A. Smith III has been
named Vice President of Human Resources & Administrative
Services.
In his role on the executive team, Smith oversees human
resources practices and programs, including employment,
training and development, health and safety, compensation,
benefits and labor relations. He will also oversee
administrative services, including facilities, receiving and
inventory and records management.
With more than 25 years of experience, Smith joins Accident
Fund from Johnson Controls in Milwaukee, Wisc., where he was
director of Human Resources for the North American Service
and Solutions division. His background also includes
management positions in Human Resources at Honeywell Inc.
and American Express Travel Related Services in Arizona.
Smith earned his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in
Industrial Safety from the University of Central Missouri.
He is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management
(SHRM) and is also a member of the Global Who’s Who.
