Accident Fund names Haran, Kauffman and Wright as directors |

July 30, 2008 (LANSING, MICH.) — Growing Workers Compensation Company, Accident
Fund Insurance Company of America, announces the appointment of three directors.
Matthew E. Haran is Accident Fund’s new director of Corporate Communications. He
is responsible for a multi-faceted communications department designed to
strengthen the organization’s role and reputation as a national leader in
workers compensation insurance. Haran will oversee strategic communications,
marketing communications, media relations, employee communications and
advertising. Prior to joining Accident Fund, Haran served in a variety of
communications roles for 10 years at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan in
Detroit. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Detroit and is
a 14-year resident of Canton, Mich.
Paul Kauffman is transitioning from his position as director of Third Party
Administration operations to director of Medical Programs. His responsibilities
include managing the telephonic nurse case managers, the medical bill payments
team and the pharmacy program. Kauffman served as Integrated Disability
Management manager and director for almost 10 years and has more than 17 years
of disability management experience. Living in Commerce, Mich., Kauffman is a
certified professional in Disability Management. Kauffman earned a Bachelor of
Science degree in Nursing from Michigan State University and a Master of
Business Administration from Lawrence Technological University.
Sheila Wright is being promoted from Business Development manager to director of
Corporate Underwriting. With 28 years of experience in insurance, underwriting,
marketing, public relations and sales, Wright holds an agent’s license. Living
in Haslett, Mich., Wright earned a Master of Business Administration from
Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
from Central Michigan University. Wright is a Chartered Property & Casualty
Underwriter and Certified Insurance Counselor. She has worked for Accident Fund
for more than three years.
