Accident Fund Names Scott Sowulewski as Director
 

June 9, 2009 (LANSING, MICH.)—Accident Fund Insurance Company of America is proud to announce Scott Sowulewski as the new director of Human Resources.

Sowulewski brings 15 plus years of experience to his position at Accident Fund. As director of Human Resources, he will oversee labor/management relations and overall human resource administration, supervising the human resources business partners and business coordinators and the security staff. He is charged with leading and motivating the human resources business partnership function, developing relationships and ensuring that customer needs are being met.

He joins the Accident Fund team from Michigan State University, where he served as the director of employee and labor relations. His background also includes work as a regional human resource manager at Graphic Packaging International in Kalamazoo Michigan and assignments with Kellogg Company of Battle Creek, Mich.

"As we continue to grow as an organization, we value finding top talent that strengthens our workforce and supports our mission. Scott is of that caliber and we are pleased to have him on board."

Sowulewski earned his bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Michigan State University’s James Madison College and a master’s degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from MSU. He is a member of the James Madison Alumni Association Board of Directors, and currently serves as board co-chair of the Friends of the Michigan State University Art Museum.
