(Lansing, MI) – Accident Fund Insurance Company of America, a leading national workers compensation insurance company, was one of four Lansing-area businesses recently recognized for significant investment in the greater Lansing region by the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce at their fifth annual “Celebration of Regional Growth” event.

Accident Fund was chosen for a Regional Economic Growth Award by the Lansing Chamber this year because of its renovation of the former Lansing Board of Water & Light Ottawa Street Station power plant into its new national headquarters. This renovation project involved the removal of a city-owned parking structure; the renovation of the power plant building, which had sat dormant for many years and was deemed a Brownfield site; the construction of a new building connected to the power plant structure by a four-story atrium; and the construction of a new 1,000-car parking deck.
