James G. Agee
The chair of Accident Fund’s board of directors, James Agee is the president of
J.G. Agee Consultants, LLC. Previously he was the first vice president of public
finance at Banc One Capital Markets and retired in 2007 as co-director of
Michigan State University’s Michigan Political Leadership Program. From 1992
until 1998, Agee served as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives and
in 1998 was the Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor. Prior to working as
a state representative, Agee was a principal at Muskegon High School and then a
superintendent of Muskegon Public Schools. In addition to his chair position
with Accident Fund, Agee sits on the board for Blue Cross Blue Shield of
Michigan. He is a graduate of Michigan State University.
Mark R. Bartlett
At Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Mark Bartlett is the executive vice
president, chief financial officer and president of emerging markets. He also
serves as a director with the boards of the Detroit Investment Fund, Michigan
Theological Seminary and Spectrum Human Services. Mr. Bartlett is a member of
the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Michigan Association
of Certified Public Accountants and the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters
Society. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the Michigan
Theological Seminary.
Charles L. Burkett
Charles Burkett is the retired
administrative director of Michigan Farm Bureau. He also serves on the board for
Blue Care Network. Mr. Burkett is a member of the Capitol Club and
is a graduate of Western Michigan University.
Patrick J. Devlin
Patrick Devlin is the secretary-treasurer of the Greater Detroit Building and
Construction Trades Council. He also serves on the board of Blue Cross Blue
Shield of Michigan.
A. Gregory Eaton
Gregory Eaton is a partner with both Karoub Associates and Metro Cars Luxury
Sedans. He is also the owner of Gregory’s, Inc. In addition to Accident Fund’s
board of directors, Mr. Eaton serves as a director of Republic Bank’s board. He
is a member of the NAACP, the Michigan Black Caucus and MSU’s President’s Club.
Elizabeth R. Haar
Elizabeth Haar was named president & CEO of Accident Fund Insurance Company of
America in June 2005. She joined the company in 1997 as chief actuary, and has served as executive vice president and chief
business development officer, where she led the company’s underwriting
and marketing efforts. Prior to joining Accident Fund, Haar worked with
Michigan Millers and Citizen’s Insurance. She is a Fellow of the
Casualty Actuarial Society.
Daniel J. Loepp
Daniel Loepp is the president and chief executive officer at Blue Cross Blue
Shield of Michigan. Previously he was vice president of Government Affairs at
BCBSM and chief of staff at the Michigan House of Representatives. He also
serves on the board of Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. Mr. Loepp is
currently a member of the National Management Association, American Society of
Association Executives and Michigan Society of Association Executives. He is a
graduate of Wayne State University.
A. Barry McGuire
Barry McGuire is the retired executive vice president of Michigan Automobile
Dealers Association. Previously he was the executive director of the Michigan
Association of Counties. Mr. McGuire is also the president of the National
Association of Counties Executive Directors and the regional director for the
Automotive Trade Association Executives. He is a member of the Michigan Society
of Association Executives and the Industry Relations Council of the National
Automobile Dealers Association. Mr. McGuire is a graduate of Eastern Michigan
University.
Nancy P. McKeague
At Michigan Health and Hospital Association, Nancy McKeague is a senior vice
president. She also serves on the boards of Sparrow Physicians Health Network,
Sparrow Foundation, Children’s Trust Fund Advisory Board and Wharton Center for
the Performing Arts. Ms. McKeague is a certified Senior Professional in Human
Resources and a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, Human
Resource Management Association of Mid-Michigan and the Women’s Economic Club.
She is a graduate of Spring Arbor College and Central Michigan University.
Iris K. Salters
Iris Salters is the president of the Michigan Education Association, and she has
also been a teacher with Kalamazoo Public Schools. She currently sits on the
board of MEA Financial Services, Inc., Michigan Education Association, Blue
Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Michigan Education Special Services
Association. Ms. Salters is a member of the National Education Association,
NAACP and the National Alliance of Black School Educators. She is a graduate of
Western Michigan University.
Gregory A. Sudderth
Chairman of the board at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Gregory Sudderth is
the president of Construction Industry Resources, Inc. He is also the vice
chairman of the board for Blue Care Network. Additionally he serves on the
boards of Bay de Noc Community College Foundation and the St. Francis
Hospital Community Advisory Board. Mr. Sudderth is a graduate of Northern
Michigan University and the University of Idaho.
Richard E. Whitmer
Richard Whitmer is the retired president and chief executive officer of Blue
Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. He also serves on the boards of the Detroit
Renaissance and Caring Athletes Team for Children and Henry Ford Hospitals
(CATCH). He is a member of the United Negro College Fund campaign, New Detroit,
Inc., NAACP and the State Bar of Michigan. Mr. Whitmer is a graduate of Western
Michigan University and the University of Michigan Law School.
Lewin Wyatt Jr., D.O.
Lewin Wyatt is a medical provider who also sits on the boards of Blue Cross Blue
Shield of Michigan, the Genesee County Osteopathic Medical Association and the
Michigan Osteopathic Association. He is a trustee of the Michigan State
Osteopathic College Foundation. Mr. Wyatt is currently a member of the NAACP,
American Osteopathic Association, Michigan Osteopathic Association and the
African American Physician Association of Genesee County. He is a graduate of
the University of Illinois and the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.
