Elizabeth R. Haar: President & CEO
Haar was named president & CEO of Accident Fund Insurance Company of
America in June 2005. She joined the company in 1997 as chief actuary, and has served as executive vice president and chief
business development officer, where she led the company’s underwriting
and marketing efforts. Prior to joining Accident Fund, Haar worked with
Michigan Millers and Citizen’s Insurance. She is a Fellow of the
Casualty Actuarial Society.

Ronald
H. Schoen: Executive Vice President & CFO
Schoen heads up Accident Fund’s Finance and Information Services
departments. With the Accident Fund since 1988, Schoen has an extensive
background in insurance finance, having worked in both the life and
property/casualty insurance fields as well as at the accounting firm
Ernst & Young.

Steven
C. Hess: Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate
Secretary
Hess leads the Office of the General Counsel, which encompasses
corporate law and litigation, internal audit, regulatory and compliance,
quality improvement, legislative analysis and contract management. He is
also corporate secretary to the boards of directors for Accident Fund
and its subsidiary corporations. Hess has extensive legal experience,
including serving as senior vice president and general counsel with Blue
Cross Blue Shield of Michigan from 1988 to 2003. Prior to his employment
with the Blues, Hess was a partner in a law firm.

Michael K. Britt: Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Britt leads Business Development, Third Party Administration, Service
Center and Claims. Britt joined Accident Fund in 2006 after serving as
president of Citizens Insurance Company. Other positions he held with
Hanover Insurance Group include regional vice president, as well as
personal lines manager, group manager and sales manager. Britt is a
Certified Insurance Counselor and a Chartered Property and Casualty
Underwriter.

Keith
D. Adkins: Vice President, Marketing
Adkins is responsible for leading Accident Fund’s marketing strategies
and programs. His Marketing team includes Agency Relations, Corporate
Communications and Corporate Events. Adkins has been an Accident Fund
Insurance Company of America team member since 1986 and was named a vice
president in 2002.

Stephan Cooper: Vice President, Claims Operations
Cooper directs Accident Fund’s Claims Operations area serving
policyholders and their employees across the country. Cooper and his
team ensure that Accident Fund’s claims services provide complete care
for injured employees, while saving employers money. Cooper joined
Accident Fund from Specialty Underwriters Alliance. He also held
leadership positions at General Electric, Metropolitan Life and
Travelers. Cooper is a Certified Workers Compensation Professional.

Al
Gileczek: Vice President, Business Development Regional
Operations
Gileczek oversees Accident Fund’s national underwriting practices, sales
strategies, research, and regional growth and development. Gileczek
previously served as regional vice president at Citizens Insurance. He
holds the professional designations of Chartered Property Casualty
Underwriter and Associate in Risk Management.

Jim
Keal: Vice President, Finance (Accident Fund/United Heartland)
Keal joined United Heartland in 2006 as vice president of Finance, a
role that expanded in 2007 to include both Accident Fund and United
Heartland. Prior to joining the enterprise, Keal held executive finance
positions at Houston Casualty Company, ACUITY, SECURA and Coopers &
Lybrand. He holds the Certified Public Accountant designation. Keal is a
member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a
board member of the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association.

Emil
Pfenninger: President, United Heartland
President of United Heartland since the company was formed in 1990,
Pfenninger oversees daily operations. He joined the executive team in
2005 when United Heartland became part of the Accident Fund Group. Prior
to joining United Heartland, Pfenninger was an underwriting manager with
CNA Insurance Company. He also worked for Aetna Life and Casualty as
underwriting manager.

Anthony G. Phillips: Vice President & Chief Actuary
Phillips joined Accident Fund Insurance Company of America’s Actuarial
department in 1997. He was promoted to vice president of Actuarial in
2002 and to his current role in 2004. Phillips is a Fellow of the
Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) and has served on the CAS Reserving
Committee and was chair of the American Academy of Actuaries’ Risk-Based
Capital Committee. Prior to Accident Fund, Phillips worked in the
actuarial departments at Nationwide Insurance Company and Citizens
Insurance Company.

Steven
E. Reynolds: Vice President, Innovation & Planning
Reynolds leads Accident Fund’s strategic planning, Project Office, Web
Services and Vendor Management. Innovation & Planning is responsible for
an innovative project management process that implements today’s
projects and anticipates tomorrow’s. Reynolds joined Accident Fund in
1997.

Michael O. Sekoni: Vice President & General Auditor
Sekoni leads Accident Fund’s corporate audit and advisory services. He
joined Accident Fund in 1998 as a senior information systems auditor and
has been a vice president since 2004. Sekoni is a member of the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Internal
Auditors, Information Systems Audit Control Association, and the
Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He holds the Associate in
Insurance Services designation as well as the Certificate in General
Insurance. Previous positions include Farm Bureau Insurance Company and
the University of California.

Ted A.
Smith III: Vice President, Human Resources and
Administrative Services
Smith leads Accident Fund’s human resources practices and programs,
including employment, training and development, health and safety,
compensation, benefits and labor relations. He also oversees
administrative services, including facilities, receiving and inventory
and records management. Smith has more than 25 years of human resources
experience. He most recently worked for Johnson Controls in Milwaukee,
Wisc., as director of Human Resources for the North American Service and
Solutions division. He is a member of the Society for Human Resources
Management (SHRM) and is also a member of the Global Who’s Who.

Richard Znidarsic: Vice President, Information Services
Znidarsic oversees all of Accident Fund’s new technology and
development, systems maintenance and support, security and the customer
help desk. He has 28 years of experience in information technology. He
previously served as the associate chief information officer with
Sparrow Health System. He holds the professional designation of
Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems.
