WorkSafe Student Program

More than four million students will be entering the workforce as seasonal workers this summer — and while these students will be earning a paycheck, they will also be placing themselves at risk for workplace injuries.

While students and parents may believe student workers are provided safety training, the fact is that’s not always the case. And the lack of training can have disastrous consequences.

Accident Fund is proud to present our FREE WorkSafe Students program, which can help students understand the need for training—and the devastating consequences of workplace injuries that can result from a lack of basic workplace safety knowledge.

The full program is a 45-minute awareness session geared toward juniors and seniors in high school, and can be taught in a classroom or assembly format. Provided in the kit are:

  • A teaching guide
  • A student booklet, "Nightmare on Employment Street: Accident Fund's Teen Guide to Workplace Safety"
  • And a gripping short video, “Lost Youth: Four Stories of Injured Young Workers”

If you would like more information about this program, contact David Hintz.
