Accident Fund Insurance Company of America Donates $13,500 to Lansing-Area Organizations in May 2011

Lansing, MI – Accident Fund Insurance Company of America, a leading national
workers compensation insurance company, recently presented checks totaling
$13,500 to support four different Lansing-area events – City of Lansing’s
“Mayor’s Family River Walk,” Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation “JDRF Walk to
Cure Diabetes,” National Kidney Foundation “Kidney Walk,” and Operation Homefront Michigan.
The 2011 Mayor’s Family River Walk in Lansing, Mich. encourages families to
actively celebrate one of Lansing’s greatest assets – the Grand River. Accident
Fund recently donated $2,500 to help sponsor this event.
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's (JDRF) mission is to find a cure for
diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Each year, JDRF
holds “Walk to Cure Diabetes” events across the country in an effort to raise
money and help find a cure for diabetes. Accident Fund recently donated $1,000
to sponsor the walk being held in East Lansing, Mich.
Accident Fund recently donated $5,000 to the National Kidney Foundation of
Michigan to support their annual “Lansing Kidney Walk” fundraising event. The
mission of the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan is to prevent kidney
disease and improve the quality of life for those living with it.
Operation Homefront works to keep families in crisis intact, through online
support groups, hospital visitation, and Wounded Warrior Wives support groups,
and they reach out to military families with real financial and emotional
support. Accident Fund recently donated $5,000 to help support Operation
Homefront activities in the Lansing area.
