Introducing Uplink - A New, Efficient Way of Doing Business with Accident Fund

upload-buttonAt Accident Fund, we’re always looking for ways to make it easier for agents to do business with us. We realize that our agent partners work with multiple carriers and we strive to provide the most efficient system for inputting business. That is why we’ve decided to partner with Appulate to provide a new data bridge for uploading business – at no cost to our agents.

Appulate Uplink™ is a simple and comprehensive ACORD XML data bridge that allows agents to upload policy information from their agency management system and push the data directly to Accident Fund. Uplink™ works with any agency management system on the market and converts ACORD forms from the agency management system into ACORD XML that can populate our online rating system – eLink.

This system came highly recommended from one of our top agent partners, and we’re glad to provide this new efficient way of doing business to all of our agencies. After all, easier submissions equate to time and money saved as well as increased revenue and incentives.

If you have questions about Uplink, contact your business development consultant. For instructions on how to install the Uplink Virtual Print Driver, click here.

Discover the Rewards of Risk Management Services

wokplace-safetyDo you have customers who have implemented loss control recommendations and built sophisticated risk management programs to protect their workers, but are still searching for ways to control their cost of risk? Risk Management Services (RMS) provides a comprehensive workers’ compensation product specifically created for retrospective and large deductible buyers who want some “skin in the game” when it comes to controlling insurance costs.

As we have mentioned in the past, Accident Fund agents have access to sell our RMS product to your current and potential clients.

RMS provides:

  • Proactive claim and medical management services built to mitigate claim costs.
  • Loss control experts who develop individual loss control strategies to address your customer’s specific loss drivers.
  • Client relation consultants who are a single point of contact for customers.
  • A risk management information system that allows you to generate customized reports, analyze loss trends, see daily adjuster updates and a multitude of other functions.

As RMS approaches its one-year anniversary in September, it’s exciting to report what has been achieved:

  • For 2015, we’ve written $7.4 million in new RMS business.
  • United Heartland, a member of Accident Fund Holdings, has written $5.7 million in new guaranteed cost premium after RMS prospects ultimately decided to choose a guaranteed cost program over a loss sensitive option.
  • The RMS team continues to grow with RMS Director Tim Greifenkamp leading the way. In addition to Tim, current team members include:

We encourage agents who have customers seeking high-touch, loss-sensitive solutions to reach out to any RMS team member, or emailRMS@UnitedHeartland.com and see how RMS can bring rewards worth the risk.

Improved State Provider Panels Means Improved Care for Injured Workers

Doctors-and-nurses-hospitalAs the WorkSafe People™, Accident Fund understands the importance of injured workers receiving timely and appropriate medical care when a workplace accident occurs. By utilizing our state-of-the-art data analysis platform, we’ve created panels of medical providers who through their experience in occupational medicine and medical management help return your workers to health and work quickly.

In compliance with Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia workers’ compensation regulations, we have improved our process for creating and maintaining our Provider Panels and have updated our policyholder website to reflect these changes. Employers in other states can consult their Accident Fund claims representative when provider information is needed for an injured worker.

To access our State Provider Panels, policyholders need to register for the policyholder website, which can be accessed by clicking on the ‘Login’ dropdown at the top of the homepage. This flyer provides step-by-step instructions on how to register (or re-register) for our secure site.

Once registered, State Provider Panels can be found by selecting ‘Click Here for State Provider Panels’ or at the bottom of the homepage.

Please note: In Georgia, where panels are required to be posted PRIOR to an injury, policyholders should print the panels listed on our website and post them at each their locations. In Tennessee and Virginia, where panels are required to be provided AFTER an injury, policyholders should access the website as soon as an injury occurs so they can supply the most up-to-date panel to the injured worker.

State Provider Panels now show the city, zip code and date that they were last updated, which will help policyholders when selecting a medical provider for their injured worker. There is also an email link to the Provider Panel Coordinators (PPC)in case the desired city is not listed. One of our PPCs will complete the panel and email it back to the customer.

These improvements were made to reflect our ongoing efforts to get injured workers to experienced occupational medical providers as soon as possible so they can return to work quickly and safely. We will continue to update our Provider Panels regularly to ensure injured workers receive care from physicians who are knowledgeable in occupational medicine and who are successful in achieving timely recovery and return to work results. Log on to our policyholder website for more information.

Still Time to Register for the 22nd Annual Westran Golf Outing

westran_golfThe Roy Westran Memorial Insurance Industry Scholarship Golf Outing is just around the corner and we want to see you there. The four-person scramble will begin at 8 a.m. with a continental breakfast, followed by a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. Lunch and an awards reception will follow in the afternoon. For more information, visit WestranScholarship.org or contact Kylie Olanowski.
