safeNow in its fourth year, Accident Fund’s S.A.F.E: Slip and Fall Elimination campaign increases awareness of winter weather-related slip-and-fall injuries and offers steps that can be taken to reduce their likelihood.

Throughout the winter season, you and your customers can access our WorkSafe Solutions e-blasts, as well as our newly updated website to gain valuable information on weather-related safety. Topics that will be addressed during the campaign include:

  • Snow and ice removal programs
  • Salting and surface treatments
  • The importance of wearing proper footwear
  • The importance of slip-and-fall prevention all year long

We’re confident our array of materials will help your customers stay S.A.F.E. this winter, no matter what the forecast has in store.

Be sure to visit our campaign for more information as well as the article recently published in Business Insurance, which includes a quote from Accident Fund President Mike Britt. If you have any questions, please contact me or your WorkSafe Consultant.

New Service for Policyholders from WorkSafe Consulting Services

worker_grindingAs a workers’ compensation company, our ultimate goal is to keep workers safe on the job. Therefore, we offer a variety of safety tools and materials to help our customers create and maintain safe work environments for their employees.

To ensure our policyholders are able to take full advantage of our safety resources, we have recently implemented a new value-added service. Beginning this month, we’ve started calling our smaller policyholders to offer safety materials and tools to help them combat hazards that are common in their industries. Here’s a general overview of what a policyholder can expect if they receive a call regarding this service:

  • An overview of the safety materials available in our Toolbox, including online training, safety videos and marketing flyers.
  • Assistance with Toolbox registration (for new users).
  • A follow-up email outlining the services and materials available to the customer – including those applicable to their specific industry.

We hope this increased level of service will help your Accident Fund customers keep their employees safe and work comp costs down. Please contact Mollie Pembertonat 517-708-5108 if you have any questions about this exciting new service.
