Agent News
Q1 2016
When a workplace injury occurs, finding prompt and proper care for the injured worker is top priority. That’s why AF Group created a new mobile app – AF CompAdvisor – which makes it simple to find a nearby physician who specializes in workplace injuries.
Utilizing our patented, award-winning Care Analytics® technology, we’ve developed a database of physicians most knowledgeable in occupational medicine and loaded them into our mobile app. This means that with a few simple clicks on a mobile device, our customers can provide their injured employee with a list of nearby doctors who can best treat their injury.
AF CompAdvisor is available to all Accident Fund agents and policyholders at no cost. It’s available via the iPhone App Store and Android Google Play by searching “AF CompAdvisor.”
We encourage you to share this information with your Accident Fund customers and strongly recommend that key contacts within their business download the app (e.g., Management, Loss Control manager, Human Resources director, etc.). That way they’ll be ready should an unfortunate accident occur – and can rest assured that their employee is being taken care of by a highly qualified workers’ compensation provider in the area.
Click here for an informative flyer to share with your Accident Fund customers. Questions or assistance with downloading the app can be directed to 866-206-5851.
Materials Available to Attach/Print with Policy Documents
Agents now have the opportunity to select marketing materials within eLink to include with the quote and application prints. This new functionality will allow you to select from our most popular materials that will automatically print with quotes/policies for policyholder presentations.
What Changed in eLink?
- After the quote or application print button is selected, you have the option to select up to 10 marketing materials to present with the quote or application prints.
- When documents are selected to be attached to a quote, you’ll need to select the ‘Combine’ button to generate the document in a PDF format.
- Upon selecting ‘Combine’, all selected materials will be combined into a single PDF document, along with the quote/application print.
- The marketing materials will be displayed after the quote/application print.
- You will have the option to print, email or save the document.
- All selected marketing materials will display and print in full color.
Policyholder Email Contact and Website Fields Added
In an effort to improve policyholder communication , we added policyholder email and website fields within eLink. Obtaining this information provides an opportunity to keep customers up-to-date on new policyholder offerings or changes to services. It also allows our organization to easily reference the policyholder’s website when underwriting the risk.
Effective this month, agents are now required to enter the policyholder’s email address and website when submitting business in eLink. When quoting, two new fields will be present on the eLink applicant tab to capture this information.
What changed in eLink:
- The Applicant Tab in eLink now displays a field for entry of the policyholder email address.
- The Applicant Tab in eLink now displays a field for entry of the website.
If you have questions about these updates, please contact your Accident Fund business development consultant.
In an effort to promote our online Toolbox, we created a video to demonstrate features of the Toolbox and its ease of use.
This short, informative video is available on our website so you can access it anytime. Please be sure to share it with current and potential policyholders to highlight the tools and services we offer that set us apart from the competition! Feel free to use this link – or visit the Videos section of our website.
With more than 100 years in workers’ compensation, our organization has experienced tremendous growth and success with our agent partners. To reflect our trajectory and continued expansion plans, we feel this is the right time to shift our brand. Therefore, effective March 1, 2016, Accident Fund Holdings became AF Group.
AF Group and its four brands (Accident Fund Insurance Company of America, United Heartland, CompWest and Third Coast Underwriters) have become a notable force in the workers’ compensation industry. Although our name changed, we will protect our core work comp business and the relationships we’ve built with you, our trusted agency partners. Each brand will continue to focus on their specific niche and region, but will be presented new opportunities for growth and diversification.
The new name, AF Group, demonstrates our longevity in the industry and the strength that the collaboration of our brands offers to agents and customers. As we consider new lines at a national and global level, our new identity will make us more marketable for diversification. Rest assured, there will be no impact to our day-to-day operations from your perspective. The quality of products and services you’ve come to expect from our enterprise will not suffer; in fact, they will likely be enhanced as a result of our growth.
We look forward to growing with you – and celebrating future successes together. Thank you for your support and continued partnership – and welcome to AF Group!
