Testimonial: Safety R.O.C.K.S. – How a Dedication to Safety Helped a Policyholder Reach New Heights

Since 2011, Accident Fund has served as the workers’ compensation carrier for Transaxle Manufacturing of America, a company that builds transmissions and axles assemblies for John Deere. Over the years, the Loss Control team has developed a great partnership with Transaxle Manufacturing and integrated various safety measures into the corporation’s daily routine. This resulted in the company instilling a steadfast commitment to safety.

Safety permeates throughout Transaxle and they make keeping their employees safe a top priority – every day. The team has incorporated workplace safety into all facets of the business – they  even created the slogan “Safety R.O.C.K.S.” (Remember Our Commitment to Keep Safe) and have reminders posted around the building and in the parking lot. Their vow to this motto is symbolized with a large rock featured in their office, which employees and visitors are asked to sign, signifying their commitment to safety in the facility.

Recently, Transaxle Manufacturing achieved a monumental feat – over five million hours without a lost time claim. It’s a rare accomplishment in most industries, but particularly in manufacturing. To honor this incredible safety success, Accident Fund Divisional Director Greg Howard and Senior Loss Control Consultant Mathew Demetriades presented a plaque to Transaxle Manufacturing’s President Jeff Stanley, Head of Safety Cray Kennedy and the entire manufacturing team. This is an amazing example of how our Loss Control team’s efforts combined with the dedication to safety by our valued customers can keep employees safe on the job. We’re proud to partner with businesses like Transaxle who put safety first – and congratulate them for their tremendous efforts!
